Manchester
3 Days / 2 Nights Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at the airport, pick up and meet and greet. Check in to your hotel and then head out for a walking city tour with a blue badge guide. These tours are quirky, informative and highlight some of the city’s incredible history and personality. They are also a great way to familiarize yourself with the city. Next visit John Rylands Library. Experience the gothic splendor of one of Manchester’s most beautiful buildings and discover the library’s world famous collections through themed displays and hands-on activities. Later head back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Breakfast then head to Old Trafford the home of Manchester United football club. From the dizzy heights of the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, to the atmosphere soaked players’ dressing room, every moment will seem to carry the roar of 76,000 fans in your ears – none more so than the ultimate honour of emerging from the players tunnel and following in the footsteps of so many legendary reds. Next you will be spoilt for choice at the Trafford Centre, Britain’s largest indoor shopping center consists of more than 200 shops, a 1600-seat food court, a twenty screen cinema, an eighteen lane bowling alley and a huge selection of restaurants. After lunch visit the Stockport Air Raid Shelters and step back in time and experience the sights and sounds of Britain’s Home Front. Wander around the original tunnels, authentically re-equipped, which provide you with first-hand experience of daily life in 1940s wartime Britain. We will finish the day with a dinner in a typical English Pub before heading back to the hotel.
Day 3: Breakfast. Enjoy a morning at leisure before your transfer to the airport.
